The M-714 precision positioning table was designed from the ground up to use the hybrid drive technology. The hybrid design overcomes the limitations of conventional precision positioning systems by combining the well-known advantages of piezo-flexure drives (unlimited resolution and very rapid response) with the long Motorized Positioning Ranges and high holding forces of a servo-motor/ballscrew arrangement. The M-714 can position loads up to 10 kg with nanometer precision over 7mm in vertical or horizontal direction. Compared to high-resolution magnetic linear drives, the hybrid principle allows high holding forces with minimum power consumption, without counterbalancing the load. The M-310 series of miniature precision positioning tables are our smallest micrometer-driven positioners. The carriage is spring preloaded against the micrometer tip for elimination of backlash. M-310 series stages are available in one-, two- or three-axis configurations. The latter consists of a two-axis stage, an angle bracket and a one-axis stage. Please note that an XY unit cannot be separated into two one-axis stages.
